Due to its effect on regulating cell differentiation it has been used for the treatment of cystic and nodular acne and also as an inhibitor of neoplasic cells proliferation. This paper describes a gas chromatography method used for the assay of isotretinoin in its isolated form and in pharmaceutical formulations.
