The samples were kept in the preservation media for a 45 day period. After this period, they were submitted to microbiological analysis and evaluated by their macroscopic and histological aspects, and by HL Image 97++ image analyzer. There was no microorganism growth in any of the analyzed media. Both 98% glycerin solution and supersaturated sugar solution at 300% concentration, with or without the presence of antibiotic, were considered to be the most effective preservants, as they accomplished to maintain cellular integrity.porAcesso AbertoIntegridade celularPreservaçãoAnálise microbiológicaCellular integrityPreservationAnalysis microbiológicalAnálise morfológica e microbiológica utilizando-se diferentes métodos de preservação sobre a camada muscular do intestino delgado de cãesMorphologicaland microbiologicalanalysis using different methods of preservation on the layer muscular of small intestine of dogsArtigo
