The CNE is understood as a locus where different projects for education in Brazil and specifically for third level education come face to face. To achieve this objective, this piece of research analyzes the main reforms in the organization and functions of the CNE and the background of its members as a means of getting to know the educational and third level teaching projects to which they are attached.porAcesso AbertoNeoliberalismoPrivatização da educação superiorConselho Nacional de EducaçãoNeoliberalismPrivatization of third level educationO Conselho Nacional de Educação e as políticas de privatização da educação superior no governo de FHCArtigo10.5216/ia.v30i1.1289
