Care for the cult of the dead is revealed in textual narratives such as epigrams and material remains present in museums and necropolises. Historiography documents a close relationship between textual and mate rial vestiges not only correlated to the form but also, as supposed, to the emotional dimension. In this context, this study aims to unrevealing and understand affective images of death in two epigrams of Catulo – 68 AND 101 – as well as in altars and stelae of Mediolanum. Specifically, this study sought to analyze the public expression of pain and the insertion of emotional dimensions on how the dead were remembered in regions of Cisalpine Gaul.porAcesso AbertoEpigramaMorteLutoAfetoDorEpigramDeathMourningAffectionPainDos epigramas de Catulo aos altares e estelas funerários: as imagens afetivas da Mors na Gália CisalpinaFrom the epigrams of Catulo to the altars and funerary stelae: the affective images of Mors in Cisalpine GaulArtigo10.26770/phoinix.v27n2a4
