From this perspective, the present study aims to review how dengue is classified in the Americas. By surveying epidemiological data relating to the annual incidence rate, dengue without an alarm signal, dengue with an alarm signal, severe dengue and lethality, the aim is to draw comparisons between the countries covered and their respective proportions of dengue cases.
