The constantdrop in the price of photovoltaic materials together with the great availability of solar resources in Brazil makes the solar source interesting alternative. Therefore, this study presents the necessary requirements for the design and project of photovoltaic systems that comply current standards. In addition, an economic viability study and its relevant financial indicators are also discussed.
