Thus, much effort has been directed towards the development of analytical procedures simple, fast, accurate and low cost. In this context, we intend to evaluate the electrochemical behavior of methyldopa with analytical purposes and chemical-pharmaceutical products, since redox mechanisms are probably involved in the process of decarboxylation and action of methyldopa in nervous tissue.
