It is undeniable that Brazil has legislation, with regard to refugee rights, that is well structured and even considered the Latin American law considered the most extensive ever in relation to this problem. However, given the Venezuelan migration crisis that Brazil has been experiencing in recent years, this regulatory framework has proved ineffective in realizing the rights of Venezuelan refugees. In addition, the lack of public policies, xenophobia and prejudice have been obstacles in relation to the integration and reception of Venezuelan refugees. In this sense, it is concluded that Brazil has not been able to deal with the exponential increase in the Venezuelan migratory flow in recent years, and that the problem is accentuated as it is faced with ineffective legislation, with serious challenges of isolation and xenophobia, lack of efficient public policies.
