Fenix: revista de historia e estudos culturais, Uberlândia, v. 11, n. 1, p. 1-21, 2014.1807-6971http://repositorio.bc.ufg.br/handle/ri/19072The aim of this paper is to analyze the differences and similarities between the movie Star Wars, scripted and directed by George Lucas, released in 1977, and its novelization, with same title, published about a year before. The book, adapting the film narrative, was conceived as a product for disclosure. Thus, it was also signed by Lucas. But its actual author was the 'ghost writer' Alan Dean Foster, a science fiction author on the rise, who wrote the book based on the screenplay by Lucas. The focus of this paper will occur in the visual issue, establishing the points of convergence and limits between the literary description made by Foster and visual film produced by Lucas and his team of actors, producers and technicians. We emphasize, in particular, the way in which Foster established his own perspective of what would become the brand's visual epic cinematic fantasy science fiction.porAcesso AbertoVisualidadeAutoriaCinemaLiteraturaArte conceitualVisualityCinemaLiteratureConceptual artAuthorshipGuerra nas estrelas em livro & filme: entre a descrição literária e a visualidade cinematográfica (1975-1977)Star wars in book and movie: between a literary description and cinematographic visuality (1975-1977)Artigo
