Crescimento do capim-angola (Brachiaria mutica) em função da densidade das plantas e idades de corte. Pesquisa Agropecuária Tropical, Goiânia, v. 29, n. 2, p. 157-163, jul./dez. 1999. Stapf) growing. considering three different densities of plants (without lopping, 1/3 and 2/3 lopped) and four different harvest ages (14,28,56,70 days), from April 1980 to July 1980, in the Departamento de Zootecnia da Universldade Federal de Lavras, localized in Lavras, state ofMinas Gerais, Brazil. The tria1 was conducted in complete<f blocks design with subdivided pareeis. The densities were evaluated in the pareeis and the harvest ages in the subparcels. The following itens were evaluated: the dry matter production of the whole plant, the leaves and the peduucles, the lesf - peduncle relation, tbe leaf arca, the specific leaf area and the index of leaf arca. The 2/3 lopped plants prcsented the largest rccupcration ca.pacity, showing the efliciency of the angola grass competition.porAcesso AbertoÁrea foliar específicaÍndice de área foliarRelação folha-hasteSpeciftc leaf areaIndex ofleaf areaLeaf-peduncle relationCrescimento do capim-angola (Brachiaria mutica) em função da densidade das plantas e idades de corteGrowthi of Brachiaria mutica considering densities of plants and harvest agesArtigo
