The objective was to detennine the chemical composition and productivity of Andropogon grass (Andropogon gayabus vaL bisquamulatus cv. Planaltina) at different cutting ages (40, 54, 68 and 83 days) after unifonnization, aiming hay production. ln order to study chemical composition and productivities in dry matter and crude protein before hay making, a randomised blocks 'ctesign ·was adopted with 5 replications. Average contents of dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, calcium and phosphorus were detennined, as well as produtivities of dry matter and crude protein. Toe information obtaíned by the present work pennitted to conclude th.at pastures formed with Andropogon grass present good conditions for haymaking at ages of 54 to 68 days after new ·sprouting.,porAcesso AbertoAndropogon gayanusIdade de corteComposição químicarendimento de matéria seca e proteín.a brutaFenoAndropogon gayanusCutting ageChemical compositionDry matter and crude productivityHayComposição química e rendimento do capim andropogon (andropogon. gaynus var. bisquamulatus cv. planaltina) em diferentes idades de corteChemical composition and productivity of andiopogon grass (andropogon gayanus v ar. bisquamulatus cv. planaltina) at different cutting agesArtigo
