It is noteworthy that the feature film directors, of fiction, made films that staged issues of the feminist agenda in progress in the United States and in the Europe, unlike the hegemonic tendency of Brazilian feminism, which did not directly address issues related to subjectivity and to the policies of the body. In addition, some filmmakers staged political violence in their films, police repression under the regime of civil-military dictatorship, and Figueiredo's film makes it possible to perceive the director's political reading about these difficult years.porAcesso AbertoCineastasViolênciaDitadura.Women filmmakersViolenceDictatorshipImagens da ditadura civil-militar brasileira em feminino plural (1970) – filme de Vera de FigueiredoImages of the brazilian civil-military dictatorship in feminino plural (1970), by Vera de FigueiredoArtigo10.5216/hr.v23i1.54210
