It integrates various knowledge studied in the Engineering course, applying them in practice. FTTH technology stands out as a paradigmatic evolution in contemporary communication networks, transmitting data directly to residences via optical fibers. Its relevance lies in its ability to provide highspeed, reliable, and symmetrical connectivity, playing a crucial role as a catalyst for digital transformation. The operation of FTTH involves the transmission of optical signals converted from electrical signals, using a point-to-point architecture that starts at optical centers, ensuring efficient bandwidth distribution to residences. This transmission culminates in the inverse conversion of optical signals back to electrical signals at the destination point. In addition to providing Internet access, FTTH enables various applications such as subscription television, telephony, and emerging technologies, including virtual and augmented reality. The robustness and wide bandwidth capacity of FTTH consolidate it as an enabling infrastructure for advanced digital services, promoting enriching digital experiences that positively impact users’ daily lives.
