Describes the need for these professionals seek updates and especially the use of Personal Marketing, in your favor. It held a brief historical survey of the origins of marketing, as well as provide information on the relationship with marketing information science and related areas, in keeping with the professional librarian as an object of study. Surveys were carried out of the historicity of course librarianship in Brazil and also about the social representation of the librarian, and a survey of their skills and abilities, that can be offered to the labor market as a differential professional.
