A completely randomized experimental design with eight treatments and four replicates of six Lohmann hens per replicate was used. The laying experimental period was 20 weeks, divided in five cycles of four weeks each. The birds were submitted to the treatments: probiotic supplementation during pullet phase, supplementation during laying and postmolt phases, supplementation during pullet and laying phases, supplementation during pullet phase, supplementation during pullet and postmolt phases, supplementation during laying phase, supplementation during laying and postmolt phases, supplementation during postmolt phase and no probiotic supplementation.
