Five were put under a past diet and five under o solid diet, considering the lost one as a control group. The tissue fragments were taken off from the masseter muscle dissected and cut into cross-sections slices on the insertion/origin axis. The technique used was the reaction of ATPose in acid and alkaline solutions with the propose to determine the muscular fiber types. The sample were analyzed in o computer system, the IMAGELAB, to specify the area and the perimeter of the muscular fibers, where the presence of three kinds of these muscular fibers, 1, li A, li B were observed.
