We tried to correlate the occurrence and letality in cases w*th or without purpura signifícaní conclusions were as follow: 1 — Meningococcic meningitit purpura was mostly pound ia fcmata. 2 — Letality was mostíy JocreateJ in age grup O to l year and decretted in the age groups 5 to 10 and 10 to 15 years. Still to be confirmed we abo fomd the following indications: a) Meningococcic meningitis ie more common and severe, in tenas of letality, in males. b) Purpura didn't play a role of marked severíty in meningococcic noningitis because it ocurred mostly Ia females where letality rate was lower than in males. c) The oceurrence of purpura wotUd be increased in the age groups 5 to 10 years and 10 to 15 years and decreased in age groups O to 5 yean.porAcesso AbertoMenigite meningocócia - análise estatística de 265 casos - Goiânia - Goiás - Brasil - 1973Artigo
