This is part of a historical process that seeks to erasure ethnic difference and increase territorial expropriation. They are aware about that. From Kalankó point of view, this process gave rise to what is called “Time of Struggle”, when they try to organize themselves politically in order to guarantee their rights. This happens especially with the intensification of rituals and the establishment of particular behaviors, based on some emotions. This paper seeks to identify this ethic of emotions. And, moreover, analyze their importance in relation to the concept of person among them. In this context, the ritual of toré is a central living space, where subjects set values related to certain emotions and a particular style of life, called “quiet life”. This style exists in contrast to the world of suffering.porAcesso AbertoEmoçãoPessoaEstiloPolíticaO riso como forma de produção da “vida sossegada”Artigo10.5007/2175-8034.2013v15n1-2p98
