Revista Panorâmica, Barra do Garças, v. 16, p. 76-95, jan./jun. 2014.2238-9210http://repositorio.bc.ufg.br/handle/ri/19490This article aims to analyze how the subject is objectified and subjectivizing through the media. Using the key concepts of discourse analysis, we briefly discuss the notions of language, text and discourse. In light of these concepts, we analised the report Nessa escola, aluno pode (quase) tudo, published in the magazine Nova Escola, in April 2011. The report portrays the 90 years of Summerhill, one of the first democratic institutions in the world, founded in 1921, in Scotland. In this analysis, it’s possible to understand how schools that are beyond the standard established by the dominant pedagogical knowledge are portrayed to the a public formed mainly by teachers. Using the genealogy methodological, tool proposed by Foucault, we aim to illuminate how the subject-positions analyzed here exercise the power and how it contributes to the constitution of the subjects in question.porAcesso AbertoDiscourse analysisAnálise do discursoSubjectMediaSujeitoMídia(Quase) livres: a constituição dos sujeitos nas escolas pioneiras(Almost) free: the constitution of subjects in the pioneer schoolsArtigo
