In order to achieve this, we’ll initially discuss about tourism, passing through its definition and importance; about the hotelsector in Brazil and tourist practices and accommodation in historical Brazilian cities; particularly, about the way local tourism in Goiás has developed and its accommodation options. We open a space for this initial panorama, as we believe it is necessary to discuss the dynamics of tourism, so then look at the lodging practices and make an analysis of the development of the hotel sector in the national scenario, more specifically, the hotel options in the city of Goiás. It is believed that the theoretical foundation, with the support of the selected authors, it will provide an important and necessary basis for the design exercise. The intention is to develop a hotel project, which not only receives its guests in a unique way, and materialize in dialogue with the Park Acácias that is nearby, but seeks to encourage local commerce and tourism.
