Approaching the Theme Drugs in the High School – The results of a research work, carried out by undergraduate students, that was started in the Didactics and Teaching Practice classes at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) and developed in the Science Teaching Research Nucleus (NUPEC-UFG), is presented in this paper. Two questions are central in this work: the importance of research in the initial education of chemistry teachers and the necessity that the contents covered in the classroom are significant to the students.
