Just a few people think about what will happen to their digital assets after they died. Many of them never think about it, especially because of the taboo around death, a subject that many people may feel better not thinking or discussing about it. Despite this taboo existence, this discussion is necessary to help each individual to decide about the future of their digital objects, so these can receive the destination chosen by their owner. Not just thinking, it is important that this decision be communicated to the loved ones to guarantee the wish will be fulfilled. In life, it must be taken concerns about preservation aiming a possible ownership succession. The issue of digital heritage have little exposure and scarce literature. This work accomplished a quantitative research, by means of questionnaire to the students of Communication and Information College of Federal University of Goiás, aiming to discover how much they know about this subject.
