Environmental management has become an important tool for modernization and competitiveness of organizations. The indicators are elements used to evaluate the performance of policies or procedures with the highest degree of objectivity possible. Applicable to environmental issues, there are three types of indicators: Condition, Pressure and Response. The set of environmental indicators can provide an overview of environmental conditions, pressures on the environment and the solutions for society to mitigate them.
