The choice of this LD was because it was the only one, among 10 books to which we had access, that has a unit dedicated to comics. The research seeks to understand how comics are presented to students in Visual Arts classes in elementary school. There is a contextualization of the relationship between comics and education, from the pursuit to acceptance in the school context; the history of LDs and the inclusion of the discipline of Arts in books; and the BNCC perspective on the use of comic books in the teaching of Arts. The methodology starts from the analysis of textual-imagetic content of the selected textbook.
