Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação) – Faculdade de Informação e Comunicação, Universidade Federal de Goiás, Goiânia, 2019.http://repositorio.bc.ufg.br/handle/ri/18454Our research about conservation, preservation and restoration of bibliographic collection, for the importance of this subject in the formation of the professional librarian. The theoretical framework was the history of libraries in the world and the foundations of library science in Brazil. The objective of this work was to conduct a documentary research on the websites of the Federal Universities of Brazil, in order to identify in the Pedagogical Projects of the Librarianship Courses that offer classes on the theme conservation, preservation and restoration of bibliographic collection. By analyzing the results it was identified that there is a discipline, but in most courses it is optional and the subject is also addressed as content in other disciplines. There was also a variation of nomenclature as to the name of the subjects. It was found that only in the Midwest region at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) does not have the discipline nor content in another discipline on the refered theme. Despite the technological advances most of the collections of Brazilian libraries are still made up of printed material, so it is emphasized the importance of teaching on the subject in the education of professional librarians.porAcesso AbertoFormação profissional do bibliotecárioConservaçãoPreservaçãoRestauraçãoAcervo bibliográficoEducation of professional librariansConservationPreservationRestorationBibliographic collectionCursos de Biblioteconomia do Brasil: oferta da disciplina sobre conservação, preservação e restauração de acervo bibliográficoBiblioteconomy courses of Brazil: offering discipline on conservation, preservation and restoration of bibliographic collectionTCC
