The main authors that support the work are Santa, Gregório and Gerlin (2014), Ciol and Beraquet (2009), Davidoff and Florance (2000). Regarding the approach to the problem, the research is characterized as qualitative, due to the questionnair applied to librarians who work in the health area. From the survey carried out in hospitals and social network groups, five librarians who work in the health area and one librarian who has worked were identified. The results of this research demonstrate that librarians in this area need skills and competences.
