Since it deals with human beings in all their instances, such readings show characters that dwell in situations that can be experimented during the reading, and /or in real life, talking about diff erences, likeness and relationships between that “self” who reads and the “other” who tells us (the literature) and the world around us. Th is work which consists of the reading of Medeia (Eurípedes) and Gota d’Água (Chico Buarque and Paulo Pontes) in classroom, also presents an analysis focusing on women behaviour in society involved by Medeia and Joana behaviours in their societies. Th ese women were strong, human and self-consciousness about their rights and identities. Th is work also comprises a short study of women behaviour in society nowadays.porAcesso AbertoLeituraLiteraturaIdentificaçãoIdentidadeMulheresReadingLiteratureIdentificationIdentityWomenMedéia e Joana na sala de aulaMedéia and Joana in the classroomArtigo10.5216/rp.v18i2.3412
