Revista Brasileira de Agricultura Irrigada, Fortaleza, v. 5, n. 2, p. 134-140, 2011.e- 1982-7679http://repositorio.bc.ufg.br/handle/ri/14468The objective of this study was to evaluate the water and energy consumption (electrical and diesel) for the first four years of irrigated coffee growth in traditional plantation by three different irrigation system with pumping potency relations of SI 1 : 2,0; SI 2 : 1,5 e SI 3 : 1,2 cv ha -1 . Simulations were accomplished with IRRIGER  program for the Triângulo Mineiro and Bahia West areas at Brazil. The Bahia West area showed the highest water demand in all the four years. The SI 1 showed the lowest values of water and energy consumption, followed of the SI 2 . The SI 3 showed values higher than the others systems for both areas studied.
