Additionally, through theoretical research and analysis of similar graphic materials, it seeks to understand and demonstrate how an editorial material, in this case, a book, can contribute to environmental education for children. This project is relevant since environmental education is mandated by law, Article 2 of Law 9.795/1999 (BRAZIL, 1999), and according to Paulo Freire (1983), education is the main tool for change. Moreover, Pazino (2007) and Miyashiro (2011) highlight that design is a tool for social change. Therefore, we aim to demonstrate how graphic design can become a powerful tool for education.
