BL serological diagnosis was performed by agar gel immunodiffusion method (AGID). The total occurrence rate was 21.1% (222/1051). In Tocantins it was 27.8% (136/489) occurrence was observed, higher value than in Goias, where 15.3% (86/562) occurrence was found.
