But how is this professional portrayed by Cinema? Is his/her image depicted in a true or in a stereotyped way? Answering these questions was the objective of this study. For that, 120 (one hundred and twenty) movies were analyzed, by using the extensive direct method, with percentages used to express results, under the sociocultural approach.
