The monography is devided in three chapters: Environment, Environmental Journalism and Content Analysis. The first one deals with the discussion of the concept of environment and brings another key-concepts that helps understanding this universe, like sistemic view and sustainability. The initial chapter also outlines the history of the environmentalist movement emergence, both in Brazil and abroad. The second chapter discusses environmental journalism, presenting the history of this activity, followed by the approach of concepts, roles, challenges and profile of professionals working in the area.
