Resumo
This academic final work aims to research the real conditions of environmental comfort in Goiânia Public Libraries: Biblioteca Estadual Pio Vargas, Biblioteca Marieta Telles, and Biblioteca Cora Coralina. The Environmental Comfort revealed as a study analyzing the optimal housing conditions of a given floor space. This scientific tool, through specialized equipment (luximeter, decibelimeter, thermometer), performs the measurement of the physical factors that influence the sensory subtleties of the human body, and that directly influence the well-being of people and the intellect-body performance. Evaluated according to existing standards, accessibility and safety of surveyed. With basis in the literature, identified the appropriate standard for the environmental comfort in libraries or information units from the following aspects: temperature, humidity, acoustics, lighting, furniture, signage, accessibility, and security. From the data collected, it was possible to propose adjustments that seek to improve the current situation of environmental comfort in the three public libraries in the city of Goiânia
