Resumo
In the universe of information, the official publications are called "gray literature" due to its limited access by the reading public. Thus, having a professional using the librarians techniques and being responsible for indexing, treatment and preservation of this information is essential. This is one of the issues that shape the challenges of professional librarians in the 21st century. This study has examined the conditions that the "Diário Oficial do Estado de Goiás" provides to the citizen to access its information. The literature adopted to formulate a frame of reference for the analysis of the D.O. E. is focused on the themes of: official publication, architecture of information and usability. The chosen methodology allowed, beyond the theoretical background, the analysis of the (Design Centrado no Usuário) User Centered Design. Furthermore, by means of questionnaires, it was possible to verify the users' vision on the recovery of the informations of the "Diário", based on the four essential systems of the Architecture of Information: organization, navigation, labeling and search. As conclusion, it was found that the vast majority of the information contained at the D.O.E. was omitted by the users, and this due to the complicated recovery that the portal offers.
