Resumo
The search is a study about audiovisual documentation in particular photography and
presents how is put into practice the photografic document organization, with emphasis in indexation process executed in the Sound and Image Museum of Goiás (MIS/GO). It exposes also some describe methods of images indexation verified in the bibliography, just as it evidences fundamentals concepts about: photography, indexation, images indexation. An exploratory and applied research was conduced with qualitative approach, using a case study method. An interview was made to find out the indexation realized in the MIS/GO and was identified that collection of the museum has approximately one hundred and twenty thousand photography but only 3829 images indexed in image bank. The similarity between the areas of Museology and librarianship was observed in relation to the treatment of their collections, one in the sense of preserving the other in the sense of dissemination, but both culminates in the organization of information for its users.
