Resumo
The actívity of antibiotícs m terms
of their groups was estimated in sensittvily
tests with the agar diffusion
disc method.
The results obtaíned with antibiograms
in which chemically puré salts
of three antibíotics were employed,
were compared with the "commercial"
form of admínístration bearíng
different groups: Tetracycline (n-pyrrolidíne
methyl, lauryl-sulfate and hydrochlorate);
erythromycin (stolate
and stearate); chloramphenicol (succinate
and palmitate). Solutions were
prepared according to Grove and
Randall.
The inoculum was standardized.
Gram-positíve and gram-negative organisms
were used in the experiments. The results showed consiJerablc interference
of some groups in the sensitivity
tests attributable to variatíons
in diffusibility of the different salta.
