Resumo
Echinostoma sp containíng peristome
\vith 37 spínes hás been obtained
from chicks (Gallus gallus domesticus
L.), saracura (Aramides cayennensis), mouse (Mus musculus, L.) by oral
administration of encysted metacercariae
from the pericardium of Biomphalaria
strammea (Dunker, 1848)
collected in the surroundings of Goiânia,
state of Goiás, Brazil.
The echinostoma presents the morphologíc
characteristics of Echinostoma
erraticum (Lutz, 1924) at present
considered synomym of Echinostoma
revolutum (Froehlich, 1802) Travassos,
Freitas & Kohn, 1969.
The latter presenting morphologic
and biological features which are not
in atícordance to those shown by
Echinostoma erraticum (Lutz, 1924).
Thus revalidation of the species Echinosloma
erraticum is justificd.
