Resumo

One of the main threats affecting the Cerrado biome is the long-term use of environment resources by human activities. Brazilian current legislation requires the implementation of certain procedures to recover degraded areas. These procedures predict the study the ecological mechanisms associated to recolonization of disturbed areas. This study was undertaken to to evaluate possible differences in the composition of anuran species assemblies among areas of modified topography (ATM) and topography areas no modified (ATNM); and to compare the anuran richness between ATM and ATNMI. Despite the higher richness values recorded in modified topographic area (28 species) when compared to the unmodified area(22 species), no difference was found between these areas regarding the species richness values. However, both assemblages differed in the curves of relative abundance, especially regarding the pattern of the most abundant species. At local scale, the analysis showed that co-occurring species in the ATM co-occur less than expected by chance, indicating partition of environments for reproduction mediated by competitive interactions. The presence of artificial water bodies with high structural heterogeneity, associated with forest fragments in good condition are factors that contribute to maintaining a high diversity of amphibians in the area.
