Mortalidade de lagartas de Spodoptera eridania (Cramer) pela utilização de Bacillus thuringiensis (Berliner)

Resumo

This research evaluated the effects of two products based on Bacillus thuringiensis in the mortality rate of first and third instar caterpillars of Spodoptera eridania, in laboratory conditions, at 25±2°C, relative humidity 70±5%, and photoperiod of 12 hours. The treatments were B. thuringiensis kurstaki (Dipel SC), at 500 mL.ha-1, 750 mL.ha-1, and 1000 mL.ha-1; and B. thuringiensis aizawai (XenTari) at 200 g.ha-1, 400 g.ha-1, and 600 g.ha-1, both in a 200 L.ha-1 spray solution, using distilled water as control. The mortality rate was evaluated at 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, and 84 hours after infestation. After 84 hours, the treatments with B. thuringiensis reached 80% of mortality on caterpillars of the first instar. In the same period, the third instar caterpillar mortality rate was 100%.
