Resumo
This article try to show how Engels'study about german revolution in 1848-49
highlights the peculiriaty of the bourgeois revolution in Germany, antecipate themes and
problems only fully developed by marxism in twentieth century, as transformism and passive
revolution, and still evidence the application of the method of history materialism to the analisis
of a history determined process, constituting itself as one of the founders texts of this
methodological perspective.
