Resumo
The Sustainability Indicators are relevant to different topics, in order to assess, monitor and characterize
the process of sustainable development of a given spatial area. The Atmosphere theme is important and
relevant because greenhouse gas emissions can negatively impact the quality of life of living beings.
Among the different tools available, the Barometer of Sustainability (BS) was selected for evaluation.
From this perspective, the basic aim of this research was to demonstrate the importance of Performance
scales in the topic atmosphere in environmental dimension, taking the example of Ribeirão Preto (SP).
The methodology was based principally on the Seven Stages cycle for application and analysis of BS.
The level of quality of the atmosphere topic showed a positive potential towards sustainability.
