Tratamento de sementes de algodão: germinação e crescimento inicial

Resumo

Maintain the seed physiological potential, initial stand and productivity of cotton plants (Gossypium hirsutum L.) is not easy, for that, studies about agronomic effectiveness of pesticides are necessary. That crop have a great economic importance and susceptibility at phytopathogen too. This work aimed to determine the agronomic effectiveness of chemical treatment applied on cotton seeds. Experiment was carried out at the Centro Universitário de Patos de Minas (UNIPAM), at March and April of 2012. Cotton seeds were treated with fungicides and insecticides, wich T1 is the control; T2: Thiophanate methyl + Pyraclostrobin + Fipronil; T3: Imidacloprid + clothianidin + Triadimenol + Pencicurom; T4: Abamectin + thiamethoxam+ azoxystrobin. A randomized block design was used, with four treatments and five replications. Emergency percentage at 5, 7 and 10 days after sowing (DAS) and plants height at 16 and 23 days after emergence (DAE) were the variables evaluated. T2 and T4 obtained the greatest percentage of emergency, in the other hand, T1 and T3 showed the lowest averages. Plant height evaluated at 16 DAE, the T4 also had the greatest average again; however, to evaluations at 23 DAE no significant differences were detected.
