Emergência e desenvolvimento de plântulas de soja em semeadura com espécies de braquiária

Resumo

Soybean cultivation has been one of the main alternatives for the restoration and renovation of degraded pastures, and soybean rotation with pasture has provided benefits to both cultures. However, it has been observed that forage in these areas becomes the main weed species that compete with soybeans, due to the seed bank formed by previous grazing. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the emergence and development of soybean seedlings when sown with three different species of Brachiaria (Brachiaria decumbens, Brachiaria ruziziensis and Brachiaria humidicola). In soybean seedlings grown with cover crops evaluated the germination percentage, root length, shoot length, fresh weight and dry weight. The experimental design was completely randomized with four treatments and four replications. Means were compared statistically by the Tukey test (p ≤ 5%). Brachiaria species interfered with the germination and initial development of soybean seedlings. The long association of soy with Brachiaria species, the densities used did not provide sufficient competition to cause interference on the parameters evaluated.
