Produtividade de fitomassa e desempenho agronômico do milho em cultivo solteiro e consorciado com Urochloa ruziziensis

Resumo

The maize cultivation intercropped with species of the genus Urochloa has enabled the consolidation of No Till System in terms of Cerrado region and actually is being adopted by ranchers in order to reduce the shortage of forage during the dry season. This study aimed to quantify the biomass productivity and performance of maize grown single and intercropped with Urochloa ruziziensis able to Cerrado region. To this was conducted an experiment in Instituto Federal Goiano – Câmpus Urutaí, between January and september 2012, arranged in randomized complete block with split plot, the treatments consisted of single corn crop spaced 0.5 m density of 3.5 seeds per meter. The U. ruziziensis was seeded simultaneously broadcasting, using 20 kg ha -1 of seed culture with value of 36.5%. The accumulation of biomass was measured every week, at harvest yield components and yield of maize were evaluated. The components of maize yield were not affected by tillage system, but the consortium significantly reduced grain yield. As the productivity of dry biomass was not observed significant differences in the two systems.
