Resumo
The notion of demonstration refers a deductive way of procedure in the mathematical sciences to determine the truth of their sentences. The process is crucial to what is known as axiomatic method. Thomas Hobbes uses the more geometrico as equivalent to logic or as a substitute of a theory of truth. This essay, unveils the difficulties that such a comprehensive use of demonstration presents to the understanding of his work.
