Resumo
The use of metaphors in the context of HCI (Human Computer Interaction) appropriately aims
to facilitate the student’s learning about the development of a computer interface. The use of metaphors in
a consistent and intuitive way helps to reduce the cognitive load required for understanding the functions
and features of a system. This article aims to awaken awareness about the importance of using metaphors
in the development of interfaces and provide the teacher means to excite the students to develop critical
skill. For this it will be discussed the concepts inherent in the use of metaphors in the context of HCI.
