Resumo
This essay presents the analysis of the Marques Rebelo's roman intitled The broken mirro,; which had registered a transition period in the Brazilian political and cultural history (Yargas Age and Second World War). The fragmentary narrative and the relationship between history, memory and fiction are the principal elements to understanding the uncertain historical moment.
