Resumo
Health surveillance is an important component of the National Health
System in the process of protecting, promoting and protecting health. This
study aimed to analyze the structure of health surveillance of municipalities
in Goiás (VISAM), in the perception of their workers, and relate the work
processes, conditions and organization of work, social and professional
relationships, leadership style exercised by managers and management
people and processes. 335 VISAM’s workers participated in the 53
municipalities of Goiás, answering the several instruments adopted in the
study. It was used SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) for
Windows, version 18, for statistical treatment. It was evident that the
management of people and processes occurs more effectively to the
development of service activities, without concern about aspects of human
resources. Most respondents evaluated the conditions and organization of work as serious or critical and socio-professional relations as satisfactory.
The leaders were perceived as having some of the characteristics of
charismatic leadership, but which, however, fall short in aspects related to
intellectual stimulation. Correlational Tests and multiple regression analyzes
showed significant relationships between all the variables, with the
dimensions of the work context and the characteristics of leadership
explaining 13% to 20% of the variance of the management assessment. It is
necessary supply the VISAM resources for it to exert effectively, their
functions and contribute towards improving the quality of health of the
population.
