Resumo
The present study aimed to characterize the scientific production of researchers who
work in the state of Goiás and who thematized or were involved in some academic
activity in the temporal cut from 2006 to 2017. The methodology adopted was a
bibliographical study, where the data collected are divided into categories of
analysis and can generate indicators of scientific production, the indicators used in
this work are those of a quantitative nature. The categories of analysis that this work
concerned were: bibliographic production (books, chapters of books, articles,
complete papers published in congresses, abstracts published in annals of
congresses), participation of events, organization of events, finished research
projects and development and linkage to a research group. The collection was done
from a consultation e-MEC platform were acquired the data of the Institutes of
Higher Education active in the state of Goiás, in possession of this data was made
the search for the professors of the HEI identified and that themed public policies of
sport and leisure, curriculum Lattes of the teachers who passed through the filter
were examined to fill the categories of analysis. As a result, it was noticed that there
were 46 active HEIs in the State of Goiás, where 35 were private and only 11 public,
within the HEIs identified only 31 teachers thematic public sports and leisure policies
in the temporal cut, and 90% of these researchers are linked to public HEIs (15
UFG, 7 UEG and 6 UnB). It was noticed that the dominant academic profile of the
researchers is of initial formation in Physical Education, occurring only one case of
initial formation in Sociology and Law, the profile of titles was predominantly of
doctors (11), followed by postdoctors (8) , masters (7), specialists (4) and graduates
(1). It was observed that the most performed scientific activity was participation in
scientific events (41.1%), in sequence, ongoing research projects (14.6%), articles
(10.8%), book chapters ( (8%), organization of scientific events (6.9%), linkage to
research group (4%), abstracts published in annals of congresses (4%), books
(2.1%). The results present an appreciation of participation in events in this subfield
of Physical Education, even if this type of scientific activity is not valued at the
moment of evaluation of the curriculum of the researcher to participate in a
postgraduate program.
