Resumo
Selecled cartoons from Pesquisa - a monlhly Journal of lhe São Paulo State Foundation for Research Development are a malter of analysis lhal discusses objeclives, methods, results and implications of the scienlific praclices for lhe human sciences based on symbolic meanings and conlents expressed in lhe drawings. The analysis considers the context in which such drawings are presented - a scientific iournal - the represenlation of woman and the readers' opinions about lhe drawings. 1t suggests ideas, expectations and values that both maintain and questioh some conventional notions about scientific practices.
